Mona City History, Historical Markers, and the local DUP

Mona City has a rich pioneer history. Mona's Pioneer Park is a historical pioneer cemetery and cabin. It is located on Main Street. If you are interested in touring the cabin, please call Janae at 801-787-4242, or Jenette at 80-423-6415.

The local DUP has collected histories and remembrances of Mona City from it's earliest days. Click on the following links for some of those histories.

Mona Bicentennial Park

Mona's Bicentennial Park has the bell from Mona's original school that was erected in 1907. It is a memorial to the school and Mona's pioneer heritage. The bell is on display next to the city office and the park, located at 50 W. Center St.

Daughters of Utah Pioneers

The Daughters of Utah Pioneers is an organization that is committed to preserving the past for the edification of the future. You don't have to have a Utah pioneer ancestor to join. They welcome anyone who desires to learn of, and help, the community appreciate its history. They meet at 11:30 the first Monday of each month September through May. If you would like to know more call Janice at 435-660-1539.
