There are two types of subdivisions in Mona City - minor and regular.
A minor subdivision is 3 lots or less and consists of no new roads. A minor subdivision application is required for minor subdivisions. A regular subdivision is anything more than 3 lots, or if new roads must be built. The process for a regular subdivision takes, at minimum, 3 months to complete. The process has 3 separate applications, all which need planning and zoning with a concept plan application, the a preliminary application, and then a final application. Each of these applications must be met on by the Development Review Committee and the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Commission meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. To obtain consideration for the agenda, complete applications must be submitted 4 weeks prior to the meeting.
***Note*** According to Mona City Ordinance 2024-8, dated July 23, 2024, Mona City is in a temporary regular subdivision moratorium. For more information click here. |
